it's been a while...

yes, i know it has been quite a while since i have posted... life around here has been quite busy... lots of fun...we've been to the beach to see my dear friend natalie and her boys... it had been TWO years since i had hugged her neck... it was so good to be in her presence... not the usual relaxing, coffee sipping kind of time... but the 6 kids, 2 moms, running back and forth to the beach and pools kind of time... we had a BALL... read did not want to leave his new friends...i am just thankful they will be around for a few months!!!

i love this picture.. who knows what they are talking about... but it makes me smile!

and then there are these two precious babies... only 6 weeks apart...maybe they will fall in love and marry one day... it's always fun to dream!

then we CELEBRATED our sweet read turning FIVE... yes, i said.. FIVE!!! he is such a joy to our lives... he LOVES unbelievably well... all those he knows... we had a yogurt/dress-up party for him... he was JOHN WAYNE, of course... that's what he loves right now...cowboy movies... he loves to watch them with PETE... it's "their thing"... and it  makes my heart happy... he loves his sisters... i hope that one day each of you can hear the LAUGHTER that pours out of his soul when he plays with kelley.... there is nothing that makes my heart smile more... he loves school.... EVERY sport... shooting his bb gun(that's was his birthday present) with papa and pete... he loves to dress up in his cowboy get up EVERYDAY.... boots, blue jeans, blue button down, great cowboy jacket, holster and pistol... and of course, his cowboy hat.... thank you LORD for this sweet soul you have blessed us with!

 we spent sunday afternoon at railroad park.... it was a day i was actually dreading... we had had a busy day... no breaks all day... and then an open house at 2... right in the middle of nap time... my nap time really!... but the girls too!... anyways... God pleasantly surprised us with one of the most FUN afternoons ... the kids played and played and PLAYED.... sam chased and chased them as read and kelley ran and RAN.... and sweet sarah jane loved scooting around in the grass....the weather was perfect.... and so was everyone's spirit!!!
